About the company
Intelligent Studios is a development company operating primarily on the Czech market. They focus on ERP system implementation, application development and custom development. The main products are the XEELO workflow platform for process optimization and the Integray platform, a hot new product that facilitates data integration and analysis. The main clients of Intelligent Studios are large companies operating in the Czech Republic.
Among the references I would mention Mountfield, where we have integrated the entire scope of our products. From MS Dynamics, through Xeelo and Integray, to customized development.
The road to the global cloud
The beginnings, like most companies, were in a “garage” style, with its own hardware infrastructure. The complexity of the applications being developed slowly increased and so did the requirements for computing power. This was at a time when the cloud was changing from a mere buzz word to a new technological standard. In short, the digital transformation was just beginning, and for Intelligent Studios it also seemed like the right path. The company has chosen a large global player as its cloud provider, one of the so-called of hyperscalers.
Expectations were clear: improved stability, automation, and easy scalability of performance. However, the services of these big players have proven to have their pitfalls. It does not offer infrastructure as such, but already selected services. Another major problem was communication with technical support and last but not least the variable nature of the parameters of the chosen service.
The hyperscale solution did not suit us mainly because of the complex configuration and poor response regarding resource addition. Possibly the inability to catch up on support. We ran into issues with performance, setup and the general capabilities we had within the cloud. Many times the provider does not have clear performance conditions. This means that the service could vary in parameters during a given month of the year: the price remained, but the parameters were lower.
Migration to Geetoo
Complications were mounting and it was clear that hyperscale was not the way to go. One of the last nails was the lack of robustness of the database solution. This was evident during a project for Mountfield. This is where Geetoo coincidentally came into Intelligent Studios’ sights.
We found out about Geetoo during a project. Specifically, it was Mountfield, where we solved a big problem with the database. Here we got a recommendation for Geetoo and its services. We approached more companies on the Czech market. The offer from Geetoo was the most interesting for us in terms of price, quality of service and most importantly the approach to the customer.
We ensured a smooth migration and designed a flexible solution to help Intelligent Studios grow. From the original few servers, the infrastructure has grown considerably. There are now several dozen virtual machines and network elements that are an integral part of them. Everything is set up so that we are able to add new resources within a few hours if necessary. We are proud to say that we have not encountered any technical problems during our cooperation. Our support, which monitors the entire architecture, is thus mainly used to increase resources.
We need to add resources, and how many times do I find out in the middle of the night. I contact Geetoo and within a few hours I get a reply that the funds have been added and we are able to operate.
Worry-free infrastructure
The customer is dedicated to developing their business and leaves the worry of the technology that drives it to us. On the other hand, we are always ready to react flexibly if we need to deliver power or if an unexpected situation arises.
For me, Geetoo is one of those suppliers where we buy a service and basically don’t even know about the supplier. I don’t have to make excuses to colleagues/clients that the service doesn’t work. That hasn’t happened to us yet. I would definitely recommend Geetoo, mainly because it is a Czech company. If I need tech support, I get it. There’s no automated machine or chatbot that’s going to solve the problem with me. For us, it was definitely a good choice and definitely a partner for our future growth.
