Yes, we are happy to set up a free demo environment for you to try for 14 days. You can then seamlessly switch to the production version.

The basic elements are vCPU, vRAM and vHDD. A vCPU is a virtual processor unit. This unit is equivalent to a virtual core, i.e. one vCPU is equal to one virtual core. vCPU indicates the power of one virtual core of the processor. vRAM is a unit of 1GB of RAM.

Operational data is stored on full-flash disk storage divided into individual disk tiers.

The environment is run on VMware technologies. If you run virtual servers on top of VMware vSphere, migration is easier. If you are using a different virtualization platform or physical servers, the virtual servers must be converted.

Yes, it’s a common scenario. The virtual data centre can be connected via a secure data link to yours and thus benefit from both cloud and local data centre in hybrid mode.

Yes, if the customer orders a configuration including data backup (recommended).

Disk tiers are the different levels of storage provided depending on the IOPS performance. You can choose between NL-SAS, SAS, Mixed and SSD.

Yes, each disk tier has its own set of IOPS limiting rules.

Geetoo Cloud Compute is suitable for most applications and there are no technological barriers. In some cases, however, the license agreement does not allow you to run in a shared environment. If the software license terms exclude operation in the cloud environment, the solution is to use the Geetoo Private Cloud service, which has no such restrictions.

We use VMware virtualization software to run Geetoo Cloud Compute.

No, we only provide the product in conjunction with VMware virtualization software.

The minimum resources are 1vCPU, 1GB vRAM and 100GB HDD.

We run the environment on our Geetoo cloud. We do not use the sites of global cloud providers for operations. The data is located on the territory of the Czech or Slovak Republic.

Within the shared infrastructure of the Geetoo cloud, we create a dedicated virtual data center (vDC) where resources are not shared with anyone and are assigned only to you.

Backups are normally made once a day and are kept for 14 days. This backup policy can be modified on request.

Veeam Backup & Replication software is used for data backup.

Yes, you can take care of backups, including data recovery, yourself. The Advanced external backup service must be purchased. In this case, the Veeam backup software console is installed directly in the customer’s virtual data center and is fully managed by the customer.

Yes, we can extend the service with additional computing power/​disk capacity upon request. Changes are usually made within the next working day of the order.

The environment is managed through the secure VMware vCloud Director web portal.

Geetoo Cloud Compute includes VMware NSX Edge gateway, provide a large number of services such as firewall, routing and NAT, loadballancing, VPN. This gateway is connected to the Internet. By default, 2 public IP V4 addresses are assigned within the service. One is assigned to the NSX Edge gateway, the other can be used to run applications. We are also able to supply other internet gateway technology by prior agreement.

The basic connectivity to the Internet is 100 Mbps. However, this connectivity can be increased up to the guaranteed 10Gbps on request. Connectivity is always provided in redundant HA mode, where the individual branches are redundant. Active AntiDDoS protection is also included.

As a standard, we enable the connection of e.g. to the customer’s MPLS networks at most operators in the Czech Republic. With prior agreement, we are able to terminate the connection using a physical device located in our DC.

By default, the product is billed on a monthly basis based on the resources assigned and licenses granted. Alternatively, the product may be charged in PAYG mode.

The service and price includes infrastructure, location in a state-of-the-art data center, software according to your wishes and connectivity at speeds up to 10Gbps.

We account for vCPU, vRAM and vHDD units. It also includes additional extensions (backup, IP addresses, etc.). Other fees are for the software used.

Yes, it is possible to subscribe to the product for a certain period of time by prior agreement.

We offer Geetoo Cloud Compute without any time commitment and also in PAYG mode.

No. There is no charge for data transferred to and from the cloud.

No. There is no charge for IOPS consumed on disk arrays.

We offer VMware NSX Edge firewall as a basic service. This firewall is included in the price and there is no extra charge.

The price of the service includes a 100Mbps internet connection with active AntiDDoS protection. The transferred data is not charged.

In our environment, we do not restrict the software we use, as long as it is obtained legally. Therefore, it is certainly possible to use your own licenses of any software, as long as the licensing terms of the software vendor allow you to use the licenses in a shared environment. Open-source solutions usually do not impose any limits on cloud use and are not restricted by us in any way. Some software manufacturers, such as. Microsoft and Oracle, provide special cloud licenses for shared environments and do not wish on-premise products to run in any other environment. Software manufacturers impose their own terms and conditions on end users of software (EULAs) and these are often not easy to understand. Therefore, if you are unsure about your licenses, our licensing specialist will be happy to advise you.

Geetoo is an SPLA partner of Microsoft. For proper licensing of the server operating system, we will rent you a suitable license from the Microsoft SPLA program.

No, we are able to lease all necessary licenses to you on a monthly basis.

Yes, if you have the right to license mobility (i.e. transferring licenses between different environments). You can obtain mobility licenses, for example. a license addendum called “Software Assurance”. Geetoo is an authorized partner for licensed mobility.

No. As part of the Geetoo Cloud Compute service, we will supply you with all the necessary VMware licenses. Custom licenses can be used with Geetoo Private Cloud dedicated server service.

We provide VMware virtualization licenses, Veeam Backup & Replication backup licenses as standard. We can also supply Microsoft licenses from the SPLA licensing program. It always depends on the individual agreement on the delivery of Geetoo Cloud Compute licenses.

As standard, we supply all licenses on a monthly rental basis and include them in the fees for the entire service.
